The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and its member National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies strive to reduce the impact of disasters through the deployment of human resources with needs based competencies. Our surge system and the learning and development activities which serve it are based on both core and technical competencies. Deployments are as local as possible and as global as necessary.
